The City's Traffic and Transportation <br />of the dates of work at least 24 h <br />(including surface preparation.) <br />Bureau (570 -2762) shall be notified <br />)urs prior to the start of the work <br />The work is subject to inspection by a City's Traffic Signal Technician and <br />the assigned Public Works Inspector at all times, and subject to the <br />conditions and directions of these City employees. <br />4. The locations of the cabinets to be painted are shown on Exhibit "A" to this <br />Agreement. <br />The hinges, handles, and locks shall not be painted by the Artist, in order <br />to insure the proper functioning of the cabinet doors. <br />At least 12 inches clearance shall be maintained from ventilation slots at <br />all times. <br />7. All reasonable efforts shall be made to minimize the entry of dust or fumes <br />—. - -- into the cabinet. <br />3. TEMPORARY ART PROJECT; MAINTENANCE <br />A. The Project is intended as a "temporary' public artwork. The Agency agrees <br />to allow the Project a minimum five (5) year term, commencing on the date of <br />completion of the Project, before considering removal of the work. However, <br />the Agency may, at its sole discretion, remove or alter the painted cabinet at <br />any time prior to the five -year term for reasons of operation, maintenance or <br />public safety. <br />B. In the event that graffiti removal, minor or major cleaning, repainting or other <br />maintenance work must be performed on the Project after completion of the <br />Project by the Artist, Agency will contact Artist at the address located below, <br />and Artist shall have 7 days to perform such work. Agency shall pay to Artist <br />the amount of $60 per hour worked, provided, that Agency pre- approves both <br />the work to be performed and budget applicable thereto. The Artist shall be <br />responsible for all work, including obtaining permission from the City to work <br />within the City's rights -of -way. In the event that Artist fails to commence and <br />complete such work in the time period set forth above, the Agency shall <br />perform such work. <br />4. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES <br />A. The Agency shall compensate the Artist for services described in Article 2 in <br />an amount not to exceed $ 3,600 ($1,200 per painting of each box). <br />B.
