Criteria used to select artists will be: <br />• Evaluation of artistic excellence <br />• Appropriateness of scale, form, content and design relative to the site <br />• Artists experience in working on comparable projects <br />• Artists residence or employment within the City of Santa Ana <br />The City reserves the right to refuse all entries. <br />Proposed Timeline and Award Schedule <br />Action <br />Date <br />Call for Artists Release <br />Application Deadline <br />Artist Selection Announced <br />City Council Ad -hoc Committee Approval <br />Pre - installation meeting with selected artists <br />Installation of artwork <br />Application Procedure <br />Artists or artist teams wishing to be considered must submit the following materials: <br />1. Completed Application - including the name, contact information or artist/artist team <br />and all information requested (exhibit A). <br />2. Digital Images of Prior Work — 5 -10 images of past work that is representative of the <br />type and style of artwork that is proposed. 10 -image maximum. <br />3. Conceptual Renderings — Each applicant (or team) may submit up to 3 conceptual <br />renderings using the template provided (Exhibit B). Renderings must be in full color <br />and depict the finished artwork as accurately as possible. Renderings must be <br />submitted in .pdf format. <br />Materials must be submitted electronically to Hard copy <br />submissions will not be accepted. <br />Please contact <br />with any questions about this program or application process. <br />Legal and Insurance Requirements <br />Artists that are awarded contracts for this project will be required to sign an agreement with <br />the City and comply with all insurance and liability requirements which include that the <br />City o[' Santa .Ana <br />tnwtt Santa- ana.prg <br />25E -5 <br />
