Exception: Group R -3 occupancies. Group R -3 occupancies shall <br />comply with Section 903.2.8. <br />(b) Section 903.2.8 Group R is hereby revised as follows: <br />903.2.8 Group R. An automatic sprinkler system installed in accordance <br />with Section 902.1 shall be provided throughout all buildings with a Group <br />R fire area as follows: <br />1. New Buildings: An automatic sprinkler system shall be <br />installed throughout all new buildings. <br />(c) Section 903.4 Sprinkler system supervision and alarms is hereby <br />revised to read as follows: <br />1. Automatic sprinkler systems protecting_ one- and two - family dwellings. <br />2. Limited area systems serving fewer than 20 sprinklers. <br />3. Jockey pump control valves that are sealed or locked in the open <br />position. <br />4. Valves controlling the fuel supply to fire pump engines that are <br />sealed or locked in the open position. <br />5. Trim valves to pressure switches in dry , preaction and deluge <br />sprinkler systems that are sealed or locked in the open position. <br />(d) Section 905.4 Location of Class 1 standpipe hose connections is <br />hereby revised to read as follows: <br />905.4 Location of Class I standpipe hose connections. is hereby <br />revised to read as follows: <br />7. The centerline of the 2.5 inches (63.5 mm) outlet shall be no less <br />than 18 inches(457.2 mm) above and no more than 24 inches above the <br />finished floor. <br />(e) Section 907.2.13 High -rise buildings is hereby revised to read as <br />follows: <br />907.2.13 High -rise buildings and Group 1 -2 occupancies having floors <br />occupied floors located more than 55 feet above the lowest level of fire <br />department vehicle access shall be provided with an automatic smoke <br />detection in accordance with Section 907.213.1 a fire department <br />communication system in accordance with Section 907.2.13.2 and an <br />Ordinance No. NS -XXXX <br />75A -25 Page 11 of 84 <br />
