SECTION 25: That section 8-401 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />such that it reads as follows: <br />Sec. 8 -401. Building supply pipe (California Plumbing Code Section 610.8 using Table <br />"610.4). <br />Section 610.8 of the Plumbing Code is amended to read as follows: <br />610.8 Size of meter and building supply pipe using Table 6-6 610.4. The size of <br />the meter and the building supply pipe shall be determined as follows: <br />1. Determine the available pressure at the water meter or other source of <br />supply. <br />2. <br />feet (305 ) Add or subtract depending on positive or negative elevation <br />change Y2 psi for each foot of difference in elevation between such source <br />of supply and the highest water supply outlet in the building or on the <br />premises. <br />3. Use the "pressure range" group within which this pressure will fall using <br />Table " 610.4. <br />4. Select the "length" column that is equal to or longer than the required <br />length. <br />5. Follow down the column to a fixture unit value equal to or greater than the <br />total number of fixture units required by the installation. <br />6. Having located the proper fixture unit value for the required length, sizes <br />of meter and building supply pipe as found in the two left -hand columns <br />shall be applied. <br />No building supply pipe shall be less than three- quarters (3/4) inch (20 mm) in <br />diameter. <br />Each single family residential structure shall be served with a main water supply <br />pipe of not less than one (1) inch I. D. <br />Two (2) hose bibs served by three - quarter (3/4) I.D. pipe or larger shall be <br />provided; one serving the front yard and one serving the rear yard. <br />SECTION 26: That section 8-402 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />such that it reads as follows: <br />Sec. 8-402.
