REQUEST FOR I <br />AGENCY ACTION Ed -canon 3st <br />AGENCY BOARD MEETING DATE: <br />MARCH 15, 2004 <br />TITLE: <br />AGREEMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF REAL <br />PROPERTY AND ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS <br />FOR 1600 GARDEN GROVE BOULEVARD <br />Jff'4414 - <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />AGENCY SECRETARY USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ <br />As Recommended <br />❑ <br />As Amended <br />❑ <br />Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />❑ <br />Ordinance on 2ntl Reading <br />❑ <br />Implementing Resolution <br />❑ <br />Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Direct the Agency General Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive <br />Director to execute an agreement with the County of Orange County <br />Executive Office of Real Estate for the acquisition of real property <br />located at 1600 Garden Grove Boulevard, Santa Ana, identified as Assessor <br />Parcel No. 101 - 055 -26, for the amount of $1,600,000 plus normal escrow <br />and closing costs. <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br />Recommended that the Community Redevelopment Agency direct the Agency <br />General Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive Director to <br />execute an agreement with the County of Orange County Executive Office of <br />Real Estate for the acquisition of real property located at 1600 Garden <br />Grove Boulevard, Santa Ana, identified as Assessor Parcel No. 101 - 055 -26, <br />for the amount of $1,600,000 plus normal escrow and closing costs. <br />By a vote of 4:0 (Bustamante, Rodriguez absent; Turner - Lloveras <br />abstained) at its Regular Meeting of February 3, 2004. <br />The Community Redevelopment Agency and City Council have ensured that a <br />broad variety of housing opportunities are available, including those for <br />special need families and individuals through successful projects such as <br />the Emmanuel House.
