SIXTH AMENDMENT TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />FOR THE <br />CENTRAL CITY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Redevelopment Plan ('Redevelopment Plan ") for the Central City Redevelopment Project <br />('Project' or "Project Area ") was adopted by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana ( "City <br />Council') on July 2, 1973 by Ordinance No. 1173, The Project Area is comprised of <br />approximately 694 acres located in the central and northern portions of the City. The <br />Redevelopment Plan has been amended on June 2, 1975 by Ordinance No. 1258, on <br />December 1, 1986 by Ordinance No. NS -1877, on October 3, 1994 by Ordinance No. 2234, on <br />May 6, 1996 by Ordinance No. NS -2290, and on August 2, 1999 by Ordinance No. 2396. <br />The Santa Ana Community Redevelopment Agency ( "Agency ") is proposing a sixth amendment <br />( "Sixth Amendment') to the Redevelopment Plan, the sole purpose of which is to merge the <br />Project Area with the Inter -City Commuter Station Redevelopment Project, North Harbor <br />Redevelopment Project, South Harbor Redevelopment Project, South Main Redevelopment <br />Project, and the Bristol Corridor Redevelopment Project ( "Merged Projects "), No amendment is <br />proposed to the financial or time limits or the boundaries of the Project Area. The financial and <br />time limits in effect and stated in the Redevelopment Plan, as amended, for the Project Area <br />shall remain in force and effect. <br />The Redevelopment Plan is hereby further amended to include a new Part IX to the <br />Redevelopment Plan to read as follows: <br />X. MERGER <br />Upon the effective date of the ordinance adopting the Sixth Amendment to the <br />Redevelopment Plan, and provided the ordinances become effective amending the <br />Redevelopment Plans for the Merged Projects, the Central City Redevelopment Project will <br />hereby be merged with the Inter -City Commuter Station Redevelopment Project, North Harbor <br />Redevelopment Project, South Harbor Redevelopment Project, South Main Redevelopment <br />Project, and the Bristol Corridor Redevelopment Project, collectively referred to as the "Merged <br />Redevelopment Projects ". <br />PA0401011.3NA.CK;gbd gym+ <br />19090.003.002/02 /23/04 ?�, <br />EXHIBIT 1 <br />2 <br />
