JULY 2005 THROUGH JULY 2010 <br />IMPLEMENTATION PLAN <br />FOR THE <br />SANTA ANA MERGED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA <br />PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTATION PLAN <br />This document is the five -year Implementation Plan for the Santa Ana Merged Redevelopment <br />Project Area (the "Merged Project Area "). This Implementation Plan was prepared by the Santa <br />Ana Community Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency ") in compliance with Article 16.5 of the <br />California Community Redevelopment Law (the "CRL "). <br />The Merged Project Area is composed of six constituent roject ar as including the Central City <br />Redevelopment Project Area, Inter -City Commuter atio vel ment Project Area, North <br />Harbor Redevelopment Project Area, South Her or Re elopm t P ject Area, South Main <br />Redevelopment Project Area, and the Brist I Corr or ad Iopm t P ject Area (the <br />"constituent Project Areas" or "Project A as" . The <br />actual specific projec to 1 le a ed ill vary depending on available revenues and <br />developer /owner partici do he p entation Plan also identifies the anticipated <br />expenditures for the progr s inclu ing the specifically identified projects. Finally, the <br />Redevelopment Component" Implementation Plan describes the relationship between the <br />goals and objectives, projects, programs and expenditures and blight elimination. Article 16.5 of <br />the CRL also requires that an Implementation Plan explain how the components of the <br />Implementation Plan will implement various CRL requirements regarding low and moderate <br />income housing. Generally, the goals, activities, and expenditures included in the <br />Redevelopment Component do not implement the housing requirements of the CRL. The <br />activities that do implement these requirements are contained in the Housing Component.
