Economic /Community Development <br />Economic /Community Development program will consist of the Agency enhancing the Merged <br />Project Area by assisting in the commercial and industrial rehabilitation/ development through <br />business retention /attraction, rehabilitation loans, tax allocation bond financing and site <br />assemblage. The Agency's efforts in this program will provide new and expanded opportunities <br />to existing businesses as well as encourage the revitalization of the proposed Merged Project <br />Area through new commercial and industrial development/ rehabilitation. Rehabilitation loans <br />provided by the Agency could also assist in the preservation of historic structures through <br />rehabilitation, relocation and reuse. The Agency will primarily assist private developers in the <br />development /redevelopment of vacant, underutilized and blighted properties and will include, as <br />necessary, the development of parking structures to create additional off - street parking. <br />Public Facility Development <br />Public facility -based projects focus on the need for ve ublic facilities such as <br />recreation uses, community centers, and cultural center and face' ies. Storm drain improvements including capacity for existing and new development to <br />ensure proper drainage and on -going street improvements of Merged Project Area <br />streets; and <br />4.
