Approve a contract with Woody's Demolition for the demolition of 901 <br />E. Brown Street in the amount of $11,100 and authorize the Executive <br />Director of the Community Development Agency to execute all <br />necessary documents. <br />2. Approve project budget not to exceed $13,600. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Community Redevelopment Agency has acquired a number of substandard <br />residential properties in the Santa Ana Boulevard area as part of the <br />proposed Santa Ana Boulevard project. The property located at 901 E. <br />Brown Street (Exhibit 1) was destroyed by fire on October 23, 2005. Due <br />to health and safety concerns, it is recommended that it be demolished. <br />Notices of request for bids were mailed to thirteen demolition <br />contractors on the Agency's bid list. Three contractors attended the <br />mandatory bid walk and all submitted responsive bids.
