Staff identified two preferred locations: one <br />at Walnut Street and the second at Broadway Place. The two proposed <br />signs will span across Main Street with a ground clearance of 18 -feet <br />from the roadway centerline. These signs will be a replica of the old <br />historic sign that once stood across Main Street (see Exhibits 1 and 2). <br />The Committee requested that construction of the sign at Broadway Place <br />begin by mid 2006. In order to meet the construction deadline, staff <br />requested a proposal from Graphic Solutions, which has over 35 years of <br />experience in these specialized archway sign throughout California. <br />Graphic Solutions is a full service design firm and will provide these <br />services in a timely manner to meet the project schedule. <br />Staff recommends selection of Graphic Solutions for Main Street archway <br />sign design and construction administration services. The proposal <br />demonstrated that the firm has vast experience in the required fields and <br />a good understanding of the project objectives. <br />4 -1 <br />
