REPLACEMENT HOUSING PLAN <br />Statement of Purpose and Objective <br />This Replacement Housing Plan is prepared in accordance with California Health and <br />Safety Code Section 33413. The project consists of the acquisition and reconfiguration <br />of seventeen apartment buildings. The reconfiguration will result in the removal of the <br />following multifamily residential units: 1201 E. Wilshire units 2 and 6, 1209 E. Wilshire <br />units 2 and 6, 1213 E. Wilshire units 2 and 6, 1221 E. Wilshire units 2 and 6, 1225 E. <br />Wilshire units 2 and 6, 1229 E. Wilshire units 2 and 6, 1233 E. Wilshire units 2, 5, 8, and <br />11, 1401 S. Minnie units 2 and 8, 1439 S. Minnie units 2 and 8. <br />These units are all one bedroom in size, and are occupied by low -, very low- and <br />moderate- income households. Therefore they are subject to replacement in accordance <br />with the legal requirements of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health <br />and Safety Code Section 33413 et seq.). <br />Replacement units will initially be made available for occupancy at any time during the <br />period beginning one year before the Agency's submission of the information required <br />under the plan and ending four years after commencement of reconfiguration. <br />All replacement housing will be provided within four years of commencement of <br />demolition. Before entering into a contract committing the Community Redevelopment <br />Agency of the City of Santa Ana to provide funds for the proposed activity that will result <br />in removal of units from the low -, very low- and moderate - income housing market the <br />Agency will make public by publication in a newspaper of general circulation the <br />information listed below. <br />Project Property Description <br />The affected properties are shown on the map attached as Attachment 1. Each property is <br />listed by address with parcel number and number of bedrooms in Attachment 2. Pursuant <br />to the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section <br />33413 et seq.) all occupied and vacant occupiable units will be replaced in kind. <br />Replacement Housing Units <br />Attachment 3 delineates by number of bedrooms the location where the replacement units <br />are or will be located. <br />Income Level of Replacement Units <br />The replacement dwelling units will be affordable and occupied exclusively by tenants <br />with the same income levels as the persons displaced from the dwelling units that are <br />Exhibit 3 <br />4 -43 <br />
