SAPD Integrated Law Enforcement Solution RFP <br />Chapter 1: Rules of Preparation <br />Rules of Preparation <br />The Santa Ana Police Department invites your company to submit a written offer that details <br />how your company would supply software and services to fulfill the Police Department's <br />need for an integrated law enforcement solution, comprised of the following technology <br />elements: <br />• Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) <br />• Records Management System (RMS) <br />• Automated Field Reporting (AFR) <br />• Jail Management System (JMS) <br />• Associated Interfaces <br />The Santa Ana Police Department requires a solution from a single, prime contractor legally <br />and financially responsible for all hardware (where applicable), software and implementation <br />services. <br />Navigating Your Way through This Request for Proposal <br />This written Request for Proposal (RFP) states the scope of system requirements and specifies <br />the rules for preparing a response. The RFP includes three chapters, as follows: <br />Chapter 1 - The current chapter provides general guidelines and rules to assist vendors <br />in preparing their response. <br />Chapter 2 - Contains questions regarding the proposing company's background and <br />qualifications, the specifications and capabilities of the proposed systems, <br />and the services to be provided in addition to required forms for identifying <br />proposed costs. <br />Chapter 3 - Includes functional requirements and describes the instructions for <br />completing responses to the requirements. Space is provided for the vendor <br />to respond regarding the proposed system's ability to support each <br />requirement. <br />The submitted offering must follow the rules stated within this section and the format <br />established within this RFP.
