Galvez <wegalvez(a�santa- ana.orq> <br />Sent: Sunday, January 5, 2014 3:09 PM <br />Subject: Planning Commission Appointment <br />Honorable Mayor and Councilmembers: <br />My name is Noah Apodaca, and I've informed you of an ongoing effort underway by a misguided <br />group to create a bicycle trail across my family's and other's private residential property in the <br />Santiago Creek between the 5 Freeway and Jack Fisher Park. <br />These individuals have been involved in mischievous and illegal activities on these properties, and <br />they continue to misrepresent private residential property, as confirmed by the City's recent <br />topography and survey, as available for public works projects. <br />Disturbingly, the City Council appointed the vocal mouthpiece of this effort, Mr. Bruce Bauer, as a City <br />Parks Commissioner. I'm now informed that the Council may soon consider appointing Mr. Bauer to a <br />new position as a Planning Commissioner. <br />I write to communicate my opposition to this appointment, and to ensure Councilmembers and the <br />City Manager are aware that there is opposition in my neighborhood to this individual's perceived <br />continuing rise in power and influence within the City. <br />13A <br />
