LAND USE MATTERS <br />TENTATIVE PARCEL /TRACT MAPS <br />32A TENTATIVE TRACT MAP NO. 2013 -06 AND STREET NAMING NO. 2013 -01: <br />ALLOW A 17 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL LOT SUBDIVISION AT 1030 <br />SOUTH EUCLID STREET AND NAMING OF CRYSTAL LANE - CITY <br />VENTURES, INC., APPLICANT - Planning and Building Agency <br />Planning Commission approved recommended action on November 25, 2013, <br />by a vote of 5 -0 (Gartner and Crespo absent). <br />MOTION: Receive and file the staff report approving Tentative Tract Map <br />No. 2013 -06 (County Map No. 17627) as conditioned and affirm the <br />decision of the Planning Commission approving Street Naming No. 2013- <br />01. <br />* *END OF CONSENT CALENDAR ** <br />AGENDA ITEM TAKEN OUT OF ORDER <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />• Steve Rocco, spoke of various personal issues. <br />• Paul Guzman, spoke in opposition to gang injunction and lack of due process. <br />• Sharon Barlow, South Main Street Merchants Association; spoke in support of strategic <br />plan and changing the city by slowing down traffic, creating trades institute and make <br />unique and inviting street for all to shop — entrance to City on Main Street; wished all Merry <br />Christmas. <br />• Irma Jauregui, member of South Main Street Merchants Association; spoke of uniting <br />business, school and government to support improvement of Main street; happy new year <br />and look forward to working together. <br />• Tish Leon, disappointed that mayor is not present to listen to comments; speaking on <br />behalf of Chicanos Unidos; met with Police Chief to clarify issues supporting <br />disappearance of young ladies; thanked Chief for meeting; overall concerned with safety; <br />Police Corporal Bertagna working on case; urge Police Department to inform community <br />about what is being done and keep the safety of members at forefront. Also, spoke in <br />support of farmer's market, proposed that it be established elsewhere in the City not <br />Downtown. <br />• Sean Coolidge, spoke on re- establishment of farmer's market; want to make it a success <br />and expand scope such as cooking more nutritiously; working with restaurants, etc.; willing <br />to collaborate with officials to bring it forward. <br />o Councilmember Sarmiento noted that farmer's market was in Downtown, but closed <br />several years ago; great time and opportunity to reconsider establishment. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 11 DECEMBER 16, 2013 <br />
