The amendments remove Caltrans participation in the <br />regional projects, reduce the City's local match commitments to reflect actual project costs, and <br />extend the agreement term to June 30, 2016. <br />On December 19, 2011, Council approved execution of cooperative agreements with the Orange <br />County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and adjacent local agencies, including Caltrans, to <br />implement traffic signal synchronization on three corridors: MacArthur Boulevard, Warner Avenue, <br />and Tustin Avenue. Ultimately, the agreements were fully executed and they went into effect in <br />May of 2012. Caltrans participation was anticipated in all three corridors but did not materialize. <br />OCTA has, therefore, amended the cooperative agreements to remove Caltrans participation and <br />associated matching funding. OCTA also revised the local match commitments to reflect actual <br />project costs which were less than originally estimated, and extended the cooperative agreements <br />an additional 21 months to June 30, 2016. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />25D -1 <br />
