PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION On January 13, 2014, the Planning Commission adopted a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2013 -46 as conditioned by a vote of 6:0 (Alderete absent) to allow a Type 41 Alcoholic Beverage Control license in order to sell beer and wine for on- premise consumption at the Curry House restaurant located at 131 East Memory Lane in the Specific Development No. 59 (SD -59) zoning district. The Planning Commission added a condition that the sale of alcoholic beverage for consumption off the premises is strictly prohibited, as outlined in the attached staff report (Exhibit A). DISCUSSION The Curry House restaurant is a new full service, sit -down restaurant within City Place commercial center. The restaurant is at 131 East Memory Lane, within a recently renovated 2,187 square foot tenant space. The approval of the CUP will allow for the sale of beer and wine for consumption on -site in conjunction with food sales. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
