Santa Ana matter by 5 -0 vote (Pulido and <br />Reyna absent). Item included in Consent Calendar under Agenda Item 19A. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />• Steve Rocco, commented on various issues including the recent death of Kim Pham. <br />• Samuel Romero, spoke on family events in the Downtown; opposed to alcohol sale. <br />• Genovena Garcia, spoke in support of five -year extension with Rancho Santiago <br />Community College for classes offered at satellite located at Centennial Park. <br />• Sarai Lopez, spoke in support of Agenda Item 2513; beneficial for residents in the area. <br />• Beatriz Ignacio, spoke in support of Agenda 2513; convenient location and wide variety of <br />classes offered at site. <br />• Gabriel Martinez, President of Centennial Educational Center; supports extension of <br />agreement with RSCCD. <br />• Jim Kennedy, Vice President of Continued Education; partnership important, committed to <br />adult education; serve over 24,000 students many of which attend classes at Centennial <br />Park. <br />• Dulce Gregorio, supports Agenda Item 2513; convenient location. <br />• Ruben Smith, legal counsel representing RSCCD, supports extension of lease; allows joint <br />effort from Department of Interior to expand parks elsewhere. <br />• Veronica Ramirez, concerned with dilapidation of driveway caused by overgrown roots; <br />request staff assistance in finding resolution. <br />• Madeline Spencer, representing SACReD, spoke on Strategic Plan and pleased that Plan <br />available to the public; urged staff to identify elements that are inter - connected. <br />• Zabdi Alvarez, excited to be part of Strategic Plan; request more youth opportunities such <br />as internships. <br />• Joan Molina, spoke about husband's head injury and requested reinstatement of case <br />against the City. <br />• Barbara Lemere, concerned with lease agreement with RSCCD on use at Centennial <br />Park. <br />• Patricia Ruiz, spoke in opposition to extension of lease with RSCCD. <br />• Tish Leon, spoke of past comment made at Council Meeting regarding missing women; <br />invited all to Candle Light Vigil on Friday, February 7th at 15t and Grand to bring <br />awareness. <br />• Herlinda Salcedo, concerned with missing daughter since November, 2013; seek <br />assistance to help locate her. <br />o Councilmember Sarmiento requested she speak to Police Chief Rojas and <br />Detectives. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 1 OA-4 FEBRUARY 4, 2014 <br />
