NO. 14 -011) <br />CITY MANAGER <br />S <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on1"Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2nd Reading ❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Amend the contract with Civic Center Lock & Safe to increase the aggregate limit by $15,000 for <br />locks, keys and locksmith services in an annual amount not to exceed $40,000, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />As part of the City's efforts to enhance safety, a number of security measures have been <br />implemented this fiscal year including the installation of access keypads in City Hall doors. Civic <br />Center Lock & Safe, a Santa Ana vendor, is the City's selected locksmith and has developed a <br />master key system for various City facilities including City Hall. This system offers the most <br />dependable, efficient and cost - effective key replacement and locksmith services to the City. The <br />vendor continues to provide excellent service and competitive prices. As additional security <br />measures are implemented, the City will look to further utilize Civic Center Lock and Safe.
