And as a proud Principal Co- Author of AB 1453, 1
encourage the City of Santa Ana to pass and adopt a resolution in support of this effort.
California has the highest population of veterans in the nation with more than 130,000
veterans in Orange County alone. However, according to the National Cemetery
Administration, the closest military burial site is the Riverside Veterans Cemetery. For
many of our local veterans and their families, this location is neither convenient nor an
option. Orange County represents the sixth most populous county in the nation, and I
believe it is critical that there be a final resting place in our community for those who
sacrificed so much for us.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,, A
Tom Daly
State Assemblymember, 69th District
CCM 03/18/2014
55D
