ZONING ADMINISTRATOR HEARING <br />MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 31, 2012 <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2011 -07 <br />10:36 a.m. <br />Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall <br />Ross Annex Conference Room 2001. <br />Also in attendance were: Carlos Madriles and Adolfo Lopez, Applicants; Vince Fregoso, <br />Principal Planner; Jay Trevino, Planning & Building Agency Director; Mike McCoy and <br />Eileen Greene, Police Department; Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, <br />Recording Secretary. <br />There were no written communications. <br />Mr. Fregoso provided an update and stated there is enough space to accommodate a <br />six -foot wide sidewalk and a six -foot wide outdoor dining area; that the applicants will <br />need to get an encroachment permit with the Public Works Agency; and is <br />recommending approval of the project. <br />Mr. Trevino stated he had conversation with the Public Works Agency Director who <br />recommended the Zoning Administrator approve the outdoor dining area with enough <br />latitude to allow Public Works to change some design aspect to circumvent going back <br />to the Zoning Administrator. <br />The Zoning Administrator noted he is looking at all components of the project and the <br />outdoor area was a concern and is satisfied with the updated information. <br />At staff's recommendation, two added conditions were noted; Planning Condition No. 5 <br />and Police Condition No. 29.
