ZONING ADMINISTRATOR HEARING <br />MINUTES <br />APRIL 27, 2011 <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 2011 -09 <br />11:39 a.m. <br />Mr. Sergio Klotz, Zoning Administrator, called to order the public hearing in the City Hall <br />Ross Annex Conference Room 2001. <br />Also in attendance were: Paul Sepulveda, Josafat Zamora and Janet Jaramillo, <br />Applicants; Verny Carvajal, Senior Planner; Yolanda Pena and Mike McCoy, Police <br />Department; Ryan Hodge, City Attorney; and Jocelyn Magalona, Recording Secretary. <br />Verny Carvajal presented the staff report and recommendation for approval with <br />conditions. <br />A letter was received from Sue McCann, Assistant Superintendent of the Garden Grove <br />Unified School District, in opposition of the ABC license issuance due to its proximity to <br />Russell Elementary School; and an email was received from Dave Lopez, Riverview <br />West Neighborhood President, in support of the project provided there are no current <br />code violations. <br />"rhe Police Department requested the alcohol storage be identified and the dance floor <br />removed on the floor plan. The Police Department presented a flyer from the internet <br />advertising live music at the restaurant. The applicants were reminded of the existing <br />conditions that no live entertainment, amplified music or dancing is allowed. Police <br />Condition 9 was modified to not allow strolling musicians. The applicants noted they are <br />no longer offering live entertainment. The applicants also indicated they are not <br />proposing a banquet facility. <br />During the hearing, the applicant requested a modification to Police Condition 8 related <br />to the business hour of operation. The Zoning Administrator and Police Department <br />stated their concern with the applicant's request to open until 2:00 a.m. The applicants <br />were advised to establish a good record first before revisiting a proposal for a new time. <br />Police Conditions 1 and 22 were modified to indicate the entire parking area conform to <br />the lighting standards and to include a six month review by the Zoning Administrator. <br />The Zoning Administrator requested the floor plans be revised and continued <br />Conditional Use Permit No. 2011 -09 as conditioned to May 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. <br />The hearing adjourned at 12:05 p.m. <br />•�-' -J©eeiyn Mag a <br />Recording S retary <br />mAza\minutes\2011 \4 -27 -11 CUP11 -09 Madscos ABC continued.min <br />
