REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />APRIL 15, 2014 <br />TITLE: <br />@I'll <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />BIANNUAL ATTENDANCE REPORT <br />OCTOBER 2013 THROUGH MARCH <br />2014 <br />CITY MANS <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />_ 105 <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2 "d Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Receive and file Boards and Commissions Biannual Attendance Report (October 2013 <br />through March 2014). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Boards and Commissions Attendance Report is prepared biannually to inform the City Council <br />of member attendance at Board or Commission meetings. <br />Pursuant to Council policy, the City Council may remove board or commission members who incur <br />four unexcused absences within the six -month reporting period. Additionally, City Charter Section <br />901 provides that three consecutive unexcused absences would result in the vacancy of a board or <br />commission seat. <br />Examination of attendance reports indicates that no current board or commission member seats <br />warrant a vacancy at this time. Therefore, the action requested is to receive and file the report. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />�J ."A a AJI o r <br />Maria D.
