Mitre - Ramirez, Norma
From: Huizar, Maria
Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2014 9:37 AM
To: Galvez, William E.; Cavazos, David
Cc: Carvalho, Sonia R.
Subject: FW: Keep the Bristol St. Business Owners...
Mayor, City Council and Staff,
The following correspondence has been received for your review and consideration re: Agenda Item 55A (Bristol
Street Widening project).
From: Magallon, Becky
Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2014 9:07 AM
To: Pulido, Miguel
Cc: Huizar, Maria
Subject: FW: Keep the Bristol St. Business Owners.
From: Nellie Kaniski [ mai Ito: nelliekcalroadrunner.com]
Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2014 3:52 AM
To: Pulido, Miguel
Subject: Keep the Bristol St. Business Owners...
Dear Mayor Pulido:
I understand that tonight you will be addressing the concerns of the Bristol Street Business Owners
Coalition...
My family and I have lived on West Ninth Street for 59 years. The area which comprises that which you
will be voting on: "To keep the working professionals at this location or not." These business owners have
been, and will continue to be, a vital part of our community —the city designated "Pillar"
neighborhood. Over the years, both dentists and the optometrist have provided professional services for
our family. Dr. Robert Gonzales, has been the family optometrist, extending services to our grandchildren
and great - grandchildren. Dr. Veronica Rosales is my dentist as well as my granddaughter's.
In the many years that I worked at Santa Ana College as a counselor, I felt confident in referring students
with vision problems to Dr. Gonzales. These professional business owners deserve to remain at this
location and be allowed to continue providing needed services to our community. These professionals
serve as models for our children.
I urge you to vote for keeping Dr. Robert Gonzales and all the business owners of the Bristol Street
Business Coalition at their location on Bristol Street. Not too long ago, you, the city council acknowledged
Dr. Gonzales for the many years of service to the community that he has served so well for over 25
years, PLEASE DO NOT DISRUPT OUR COMMUNITY by forcing these service providers to leave their
longtime locations; services to my family and to countless others would be disrupted.
My family and I thank you in advance for your support in voting for what is just and reasonable for our
community —it's the right thing to do.
2/4/2014 9:46 AM
9:46 AM
