Examples <br />include: State Senior Advisory Committees, Urban Area Working Groups, Statewide <br />Interoperability Governing Board (SIGB), Area Maritime Security Committees, Citizen <br />Corps Councils, MMRS Leadership, and Children's Working Groups. <br />As a reminder, the membership of the Senior Advisory Committee must, at a minimum, <br />include the following State officials directly responsible for the administration of FEMA <br />GPD grants, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Assistant Secretary for <br />Preparedness and Response (ASPR) cooperative agreements, and Emergency Medical <br />Services for Children (EMSC) grants: the SAA, ASPR Hospital Preparedness Program <br />(HPP) Coordinator, and CDC Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Program <br />Director. In addition, program representatives from the following entities should be <br />members of the committee: State Homeland Security Advisor (if this role is not also the <br />SAA), State Emergency Management Agency Director, State Public Health Officer, <br />State Public Safety Officer (and SAA for Justice Assistance Grants, if different), State <br />Court Official, State EMS Director, State Trauma System Manager, Statewide <br />Interoperability Coordinator, State Citizen Corps Point of Contact (POC), the State <br />EMSC Coordinator, State Education Department, State Human Services Department, <br />State Child Welfare Services, State Juvenile Justice Services, Urban Area POC, United <br />States Coast Guard Area Command or Captain of the Port, Senior Members of the <br />Regional Transit Security Working Group, Senior Security Officials from Major <br />Transportation Systems, and the Adjutant General, <br />Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) <br />Since its inception in FY 2003, the intent of the UASI program has been to enhance <br />regional preparedness in major metropolitan areas. The UASI program is a core <br />program in the DHS mission to build the capacity of American society to be resilient in <br />the face of disruptions, disasters, and other crises. The UASI program directly supports <br />the National Priority on expanding regional collaboration in the National Preparedness <br />Guidelines and is intended to assist participating jurisdictions in developing integrated <br />13 <br />
