KO —6/17/10 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2010 -04 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2127 NORTH GREENLEAF STREET, SANTA ANA ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2010 -04 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE CONTRIBUTIVE <br />CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On July 1, 2010, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2010 -04) and <br />categorization (Historic Resources Commission Categorization No. 2010- <br />04) of the E.B. Smith House, located at 2127 North Greenleaf Street, <br />Santa Ana. <br />B. The E.B. Smith House is an architecturally significant building constructed <br />in 1927 and is a Tudor Revival style. The E.B. Smith House is eligible for <br />designation as contributive as it "is a good example of period architecture" <br />and "contributes to the overall character and history" of historically <br />significant Floral Park. <br />C. Character defining features include high pitched front facing gable, rolled <br />roof edges, smooth stucco finish, original wood windows, and arched <br />porch entry. <br />D. The legal owners of the subject property are Melvin G. and Catherine W. <br />Ladd. <br />E. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />Resolution No. 2010 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />
