RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -023 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEN <br />AMEND THE CITY'S <br />COMPENSATION PLAN <br />CLASSIFICATION TITLE <br />COORDINATOR <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />D RESOLUTION NO. 82 -110 TO <br />BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />TO CREATE THE FULL TIME <br />OF ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br />B. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82 -110 revising and re- establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br />C. In keeping with the City's desire to improve travel safety and choices for <br />the Santa Ana community, which includes bicyclists, pedestrians, and <br />users of all ages and abilities, the Interim Executive Director of Public <br />Works proposes to create one (1) full time classification title. <br />D. It is the City's practice to assign job titles that accurately reflect the duties <br />and responsibilities of the classification and are consistent with other <br />classifications within the City's organizational structure. <br />E. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82 -110, as amended, <br />in order to effect this change. <br />Section 2: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82 -110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by adding, in alphabetical sequence, the following full time <br />classification title at the monthly seven -step salary rate range as indicated: <br />7 -Step Salary Rate (SRR) Effective 05/20/14 <br />Monthly Salary <br />Classification Title SRR Minimum - Maximum <br />Active Transportation Coordinator 673 $5569 - $7463 <br />Resolution No. 2014 -023 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
