1.0 TERM <br />The initial term of this Agreement shall be one year, commencing May 1, 2014 through <br />April 30, 2015, and shall be automatically extended in one -year increments for up to two <br />(2) consecutive years ending April 30, 2017, unless otherwise terminated pursuant to <br />Section 20.0 of this Agreement. <br />2.0 DESCRIPTION OF COUNTY SERVICES AND STAFFING <br />2.1 COUNTY shall assign a TARGET DPO to provide GVS services to CITY on a <br />full -tune basis as defined below, and in conjunction with GVS work by police <br />officers of CITY. <br />2.1.1 The TARGET DPO shall be a full -time employee of COUNTY in a regular <br />or limited -tenn position, whose normally assigned work hours equal those <br />of a full work period. <br />2.1.1.1 A regular position shall mean a position established on a <br />permanent year -round basis requiring work on a regular schedule. <br />2.1.1.2 A limited -term position shall mean a position which, in <br />COUNTY'S determination, has no anticipated long -range funding <br />or has uncertain future funding. <br />2.1.1.3 The work period shall be eighty (80) hours, beginning on a Friday, <br />and ending on the second Thursday thereafter. <br />2.2 In addition to providing GVS services on a full -time basis, the TARGET DPO will, <br />as required by CITY, and for compensation, provide GVS overtime services. GVS <br />overtime services shall be defined to mean the following: <br />2.2.1 Work requested by CITY and performed by the TARGET DPO in excess of <br />eighty (80) hours of paid time in a work period. <br />2.3 CITY shall compensate COUNTY for GVS overtime services provided by the <br />TARGET DPO pursuant to Section 4.0 of this Agreement. <br />2.4 GVS overtime services to be provided by the TARGET DPO shall include, but not <br />be limited to: <br />2.4.1 Supervision of a target population of adults and minors who have been <br />placed on probation by the courts for gang- related activities, and whose <br />primary residence is within CITY'S geographical boundaries; <br />2.4.2 Enforcement of court orders for said target population, including searches <br />and seizures, as appropriate; <br />Page 3 of 14 <br />
