3014 52014 <br />SAP C5C1� <br />Go <br />�'�mdY• i <br />ANNUAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />N- 2014 -072 <br />The City of Santa Ana has read and understands the following conditions for participating in the Exploring <br />Prograrn operated and maintained by Learning for Life, a District of Columbia non -profit corporation ( "Learning <br />for Life'), and desires to enter into this agreement regarding its participating in the Exploring Program. The <br />responsibilities ofthe organization include: <br />Screening and selecting at least four adults, including committee chaimnan, two committee <br />members, and an Advisor who will work directly with the post officers. <br />All registered adults are required to complete Yearning for Life Youth Protection Training every <br />two (2) years. <br />Providing facilities under adult (21 and over) supervision for the Explorer post to meet on a regular <br />schedule with nine and place reserved. <br />Participating in an initial program orientation session consisting of one (1) two (2) hour program in <br />person or online. <br />Having the Police Chef or his designee participate in at least one evaluation with Learning for Life <br />representatives each year. <br />Paying a yearly renewal fee of $40 for the Santa Ana Police Department and $16 for each individual <br />(adult or youth) participating in the program. The total anount of the Agreement shall not exceed <br />ten thousand dollars and zero cents, <br />The Exploring Program is pat of Learning for Life's education resource program. Yearning for Life <br />provides the support services necessary to help the participating organizations succeed in their use <br />of the program <br />These services include year training techniques and methods for selecting quality leaders, prog arr <br />resources, and primary liability insurance to cover the participating organi7sation, its board, officers, and <br />employees against all personal liability judgments arising from official Exploring Program activities. <br />
