ORDINANCE NO. NS -xxx <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REZONING THE TOWN AND <br />COUNTRY MANOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 555 <br />EAST MEMORY LANE FROM SUBURBAN <br />APARTMENT (R-4) TO SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT <br />NO. 87 (SD -87) (AA NO. 2014 -01) AND ADOPTING <br />SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT NO. 87 (SD -87) FOR <br />SAID PROPERTY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find, <br />determine and declare as follows: <br />A. Amendment Application No. 2014 -01 has been filed with the City of <br />Santa Ana to change the zoning district designation of certain real <br />property located at 555 East Memory Lane from Suburban Apartment <br />(R-4) to Specific Development No. 87 (SD -87). The Specific <br />Development No. 87 zoning district (SD -87) would allow the Park <br />View at Town and Country Manor tower to be built on a 2.5 acre <br />section of the site that is located at the southwest corner of the <br />campus. <br />B. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana held a duly <br />noticed public hearing on April 14, 2014, on Amendment Application <br />No. 2014 -01 and decided to recommend that the City Council adopt <br />an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2014 -01, which <br />is consistent with the General Plan. <br />C. This Council, prior to taking action on this ordinance, opened a duly <br />noticed public hearing on May 6, 2014, and at that time continued the <br />matter to a future meeting. On June 3, 2014, the City Council <br />considered all testimony, written and oral, related to this ordinance. <br />D. The City Council also adopts as findings all facts presented in the <br />Request for Council Action dated May 6, 2014, and the Request for <br />Council Action dated June 3, 2014, accompanying this matter. <br />E. For these reasons, and each of them, Amendment Application No. <br />2014 -01 is hereby found and determined to be consistent with the <br />General Plan of the City of Santa Ana and otherwise justified by the <br />public necessity, convenience, and general welfare. <br />Ordinance No. NS -XXX <br />Page 1 of <br />11 B -3 <br />
