On July 1, 1998 <br /> the City Council approved an agreement with the United States Department <br /> of Justice to maintain and house federal offenders . This amendment will <br /> grant authority to the Jail Facility to increase the per diem rate from <br /> the current rate of $70 to a rate of $77 per inmate . <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The anticipated revenues for this increase have been projected in the FY <br /> 2000/01 budget in Police Facility Rental Account (account no. 11-01- <br /> 5830) . <br /> APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS : <br /> f \(1A <br /> Paul M.
