When the project was initially designed several years ago, it was the City's
position that the new streetlights should be installed and owned by Southern California
Edison (SCE). However since then, the City has started the process to purchase SCE
owned streetlights and paying SCE to install and own them is counterintuitive.
Consequently, it is logical for the City to obtain a refund from SCE and install and own the
streetlights under this contract. (PCO #06)
AGREED PRICE $50,025.90
2. The contract documents call for a new 68 LF of 24" RCP and 8' deep catch basin for lateral
"C" on the northwest corner of Grand & First Street. After the contractor completed his
potholing operations, five underground utilities were discovered that were not shown on the
profile. These utilities necessitated a redesign of the lateral and catch basin. The new
proposed profile increases the depth of the catch basin to 10', increased the overall depth
of the 24" RCP, and added a concrete collar and a new junction structure with a cast -in-
place reinforced concrete box. (PCO #11)
AGREED PRICE $53,560.00
