Establishments that sell alcoholic beverages require a conditional <br />use permit (CUP) pursuant to Section 41 -196 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code (SAMC). <br />Project Location and Site Description <br />The subject property is located at 100 -140 East MacArthur Boulevard and is situated on the <br />southeast corner of Main Street and MacArthur Boulevard. The site is approximately 4.15 acres in <br />size and is rectangular in shape. The site is located within the 43 -acre MacArthur Place South <br />master planned development, a mixed -use development located on the south side of MacArthur <br />Boulevard between Main Street and the Newport-Costa Mesa (SR -55) Freeway. The subject parcel <br />is developed with The Marke, a 300 -unit apartment complex with one level of subterranean parking <br />and five levels of above grade parking that has recently opened for residential occupancy. Also <br />within MacArthur Place South are two high rise residential towers, six office buildings, a food /retail <br />building, a DoubleTree Club hotel, a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and four parking structures. <br />The site is surrounded by a combination of commercial and multi- family residential uses to the north; <br />office and industrial uses to the south, multi - family residential, office and hotel uses to the east; and <br />commercial, single- family and multi - family residential uses to the west (Exhibits 1, 2 and 3). <br />EXHIBIT A <br />31A-3 <br />
