Chapter _. is added to the Municipal <br />I Code to read as follows: <br />Chapter . MEDICAL MARIJUANA COLLECTIVES <br />010 Purpose and intent. <br />It is the purpose and intent of this Chapter to restrict and set forth <br />prohibited activities related to the collective cultivation of medical marijuana in <br />order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of <br />The restrictions and prohibitions in this Chapter, in compliance <br />with the State Compassionate Use Act and the State Medical Marijuana Program <br />Act ( "State Law "), do not interfere with a patient's right to use medical marijuana <br />as authorized under State Law, nor do they criminalize the possession or <br />cultivation of Medical Marijuana by specifically defined classifications of persons, <br />as authorized under State Law. Medical marijuana collectives shall comply with <br />all provisions of the <br />City Municipal Code (" MC "), State Law, <br />and all other applicable local and state laws. Nothing in this Chapter permits <br />activities that are illegal under federal, state, or local law. <br />2 <br />04202014- REVV30 <br />
