JN URANCE ON FILE N- 2008.033 -001 <br />WORK MAY PROCEED <br />UNTIL INSURANCE EXPl1U3 <br />, /9'i5° <br />rEEd OE C CIL�L� <br />pp( 9 02014 FIRST AMENDMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />C This FIRST AMENDMENT to the Consultant Agreement is entered into on May <br />2014, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation <br />of the State of California ( "City ") and RCS Investigations and Consulting, LLC., a <br />California Limited Liability Corporation ( "Consultant "). <br />RECITALS <br />A. City and Consultant entered into Agreement #N- 2008 -033, dated March 14, 2008, <br />(hereinafter "said Agreement") by which Consultant provided background <br />investigations as needed for a total amount not to exceed twenty -five thousand dollars <br />($25,000.00). <br />B. The City did not utilize Consultant's services for an extended period of time but <br />intends to utilize their services in the fiiture. <br />C. The parties would now like to amend the terms of the Agreement to update the scope <br />of services and to provide for the following increase in rates: <br />1. Background investigation for a police officer would increase from a flat <br />fee of $1500 to $1650 (flat fee); <br />2. Background investigation for a public safety dispatcher would increase <br />from a flat fee of $1250 to $1650; and <br />3. Background investigation for a civilian employee would increase from a <br />flat fee of $950 to $1500. <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and <br />subject to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this <br />First Amendment to Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br />I. Section 1, SCOPE OF SERVICES, shall be amended to remove the scope of services <br />set forth in Exhibit "A" and to add Exhibit "A -1" attached hereto which includes the <br />rate increase noted in the Recitals. <br />
