Mitre - Ramirez, Norma
From: Huizar, Maria
Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2014 4:41 PM
Cc: Mitre - Ramirez, Norma; Cavazos, David
Subject: FW: Mayor & Council
Letter for your review and consideration received on Agenda Item 85A.
From:
Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2014 4:39 PM
To: Huizar, Maria
Subject: Mayor & Council
Maria please copy to the Mayor and Council members
Dear Mayor and Council Members
As a former council member and current president of the Washington Square Neighborhood Association I am opposed to
Marijuana dispensaries in our city. The two that are located on 17th St. just north of our neighborhood has created
problems of loitering and suspicious activities not only to our Washington Square Neighborhood but also to West Floral
Park Neighborhood.
The cost of enforcing these dispensaries will certainly exceed the revenue they will generate. Our code enforcement
officers are stretched too thin as it is and need to concentrate on violations within the neighborhoods and not on new
businesses that have already proven to be problem within the city.
Again, please vote NO to marijuana dispensaries any where in Santa Ana,
Sincerely,
Tom Lutz.
CCM 7/15/2014
85A
