• Sara Guerrero, member of South Coast Repertoire, play opening in 3 months in <br />open space in Civic Center area; use dance, music and toy theater; open call to <br />community. <br />• Madeleine Spencer, commented on Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) <br />outreach efforts; SAUSD approved $4 million over 8 years to be used for Restorative <br />Justice Programs; State approved SB1272; request all conserve water. <br />• Richard Moser, spoke on Agenda Item 55C, thanked City Council for continuing <br />matter in the past; proposed additional revisions to staff recommendation. <br />• Tracy Simons, safety for cars, pedestrians, sidewalk continuation, lights <br />synchronized, wall at least 10 ft., medians, underground utilities, improved <br />intersections; continuity of south Bristol; support full take on Bristol Street Widening <br />Project. <br />• Tony Michalski, spoke on Agenda Item 55C; support full take and complete streets. <br />• Parka Roshanzamir, spoke on Public Hearing 7513; concerned with citation and not <br />include in property tax bill and water bills; staff to meet with applicant <br />CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS <br />MOTION: Approve Consent Calendar Items 10A through 31A as <br />recommended by staff, with the following modifications: <br />• Continue consideration of Agenda Item 22C for 30 days at the request for <br />staff; <br />• Continue consideration of Agenda Item 25D at the request for staff; <br />• Councilmember Amezcua abstained on Agenda Item 10A; <br />• Councilmember Martinez pulled Agenda Item 25G for separate action; <br />• Councilmember Benavidez pulled Agenda Item 22C for separate action; and <br />• Mayor Pro Tern Tinajero abstained on Agenda Item 22B Tinajero for potential <br />conflict of interest due to a campaign contribution. <br />MOTION: Sarmiento SECOND: Amezcua <br />VOTE: AYES: Amezcua, Benavides, Pulido, Martinez, Sarmiento, <br />Tinajero (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSTAIN: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Reyna (1) <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 12 JULY 1, 2014 <br />
