Santa Ana Boulevard, Santa Ana <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 SECOND AMENDMENT TO LEASE <br />9 <br />10 This Second Amendment to Lease ("Second Amendment') is made �ee^ <br />i a 6 '2014 <br />11 ("Effective Date"), by and between the CITY OF SANTA ANA (hereinafter re rred to as <br />12 "LESSOR,"), and the COUNTY OF ORANGE, a political subdivision of the State of California <br />13 (hereinafter referred to as "COUNTY"), without regard to number and gender. <br />14 <br />15 RECITALS <br />16 <br />17 I. Pursuant to a lease dated December 16, 1997 ("Lease"), LESSOR leases to COUNTY 6,554 <br />18 s.f. on the second and third floors of the building located at 1000 E. Santa Ana Boulevard in <br />19 Santa Ana, California (the "Building"), which space is more particularly described on Exhibit <br />20 A and Exhibit B of the Lease. The original term of the Lease was five (5) years. <br />21 <br />22 II. The Lease was amended on May 24, 2005 ("First Amendment'), to extend the lease term <br />23 through February 29, 2008, and to provide for two (2) additional three (3) year options. <br />24 <br />25 111. Pursuant to the terms of the First Amendment COUNTY exercised both of the three year <br />26 options and extended the term for six (6) additional years. <br />27 <br />28 IV. The term of the Lease currently commenced on March 1, 1998 and will currently terminate on <br />29 February 28, 2014. <br />30 <br />31 V. As a result of COUNTY no longer needing the space in Suite 220, and LESSOR reallocating <br />32 the common area space, the COUNTY and LESSOR have agreed to increase the leased <br />33 premises from 6,554 square feet to 6,824 square feet. <br />34 <br />35 <br />36 <br />37 <br />ES: 12-16-13 GA 1213-115-2 <br />Second Amendment to Lease Page I SSA/The Depot at Santa Ana <br />
