Participants <br />learn how to build and maintain good credit, read credit scores and credit reports, use <br />credit cards, loans and how to manage debt. <br />Topic: Smart Money Management <br />Overview: The Smart Money Management workshop teaches youth how to make the <br />most of their money by saving more, creating a spending plan, and understanding basic <br />money- saving principals. <br />Topic: Smart Car Shopping and Renting <br />Overview: The Smart Car Shopping and Renting workshop teaches participants how to <br />build a pathway to reliable car buying or leasing and renting. <br />Family Planning workshops include: <br />Topic: Love Notes: Making Relationships Work for Young Adults and Young <br />Parents <br />Overview: Through hands -on, interactive activities, discussions and use of music, film, <br />stories, drawing, and sculpting, participants gain skills in the following: Understanding <br />Self; Communications; Conflict Management; Problem Solving; Relationship Skills; and <br />Sexual Relationships. <br />Worker's Rights /Labor Laws workshops include: <br />Topic: Legal Issues: Resources <br />Overview: The Legal Issues workshop is designed to provide youth with information on <br />Orange County Court services. Youth learn to access public information online and <br />become informed about a typical background check a prospective employer might <br />review.
