ORDINANCE NO. NS -2869 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTIONS 2 -300 AND 2 -300.5 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING THE TITLE OF SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE CITY MANAGER AND MAKING OTHER TECHNICAL MODIFICATIONS TO THE TITLES OF OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENT HEADS OF THE CITY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: A. The Council is desirous of adding the title of Special Assistant to the City Manager; and, Section 2. Section 2 -300 is amended by deleting reference to the Library Director and Fire Chief, so that it shall read as follows: Sec. 2 -300. City officers and department heads. The following are officers of the City of Santa Ana: (1) Members of the city council; (2) City manager; (3) City attorney; (4) Clerk of the council; (5) Assistant city manager; (6) Deputy city manager for development services; (7) Special assistant to the city manager; (8) Police chief; (9) Executive director of finance and management services; (10) Executive director of public works; (11) Executive director of parks, recreation and community services; (12) Executive director of personnel services; (13) Executive director of community development; (14) Executive director of planning and building safety. If this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
