Adopt an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2014 -03 to amend the zoning <br />from Light Industrial (M1) to Two - Family Residential (R2). <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving Variance No. 2014 -03 to allow a reduction in front and side yard <br />setbacks for the property located at 1732 West Second Street as conditioned. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br />On July 28, 2014, the Planning Commission recommended that the City Council adopt an <br />ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2014 -03 to amend the zoning from Light <br />Industrial (M1) to Two - Family Residential (R2) and adopt a resolution approving Variance No. <br />2014 -03 to allow a reduction in front and side yard setbacks for the property located at 1732 <br />West Second Street as conditioned by a vote of 7:0. The Planning Commission made no <br />changes to the recommended action (Exhibit A). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Midoros, LLC is requesting approval of an amendment application and setback variance to allow <br />the construction of two single family residences on two separate parcels. The proposed project at <br />1728 West Second Street involves the construction of a new 1,427 square foot single - family <br />residence attached two -car garage and a 422 square foot attached second dwelling unit. The <br />proposed residence includes three - bedrooms, two- bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room <br />and computer /office room. The second dwelling unit is comprised of a bedroom, bathroom and <br />living/kitchen area. <br />75A -1 <br />
