The system greatly <br />facilitates the Police Department's investigation of numerous types <br />of crimes. The City of Santa Ana currently has an agreement with <br />the County of Orange for access to Cal -ID, which expires on June <br />30, 1996. This new agreement is for ten (10) years, and provides <br />for access fees that are based on the population of the user. The <br />first years access fee for the City of Santa Ana will be $57,771. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds to pay the Cal -ID access fee for fiscal year 1996/1997 have <br />been projected in the 1996/1997 budget Police Forensic Service, <br />Other Agency Services Account (account no. 11- 344 - 6251), and no <br />additional fiscal impact is anticipated. <br />Paul M.
