Contract Award for Arterial Streets Resurfacing <br />Using Rubberized Emulsion Aggregate Slurry <br />August 5, 2014 <br />Page 2 <br />Bid procedures have been followed as established by the City's Municipal Code and in adherence <br />to the Public Contracts Code. Based on the bids received, staff recommends award <br />American Asphalt. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Asphalt submitting the lowest <br />the Engineer's Estimate of <br />of this REAS contract to All <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #1 (establish and maintain a Community Investment Plan for all City <br />assets), Strategy C (invest res <br />infrastructure to protect the City's <br />:lei 011 ITI I W11 <br />)urces and technology to extend the service life of existing <br />investment and support a high quality of life standard). <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are exempt <br />from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review No. 2014-50 was filed for this <br />project. <br />
