KidWorks Community Development Corporation <br />Career Works Program <br />Youth Incentives Policy: Program Year 2013/2014 <br />The KidWorks Community Development Corporation's CareerWorks Program uses incentives <br />to help motivate youth to achieve goals. hi addition to the performance goals set forth in the <br />grant, this program model has established additional activities that will assist youth in becoming <br />empowered, self-reliant and productive adults within one year of their enrollment. Participants <br />will have the opportunity to complete the following: <br />Goal <br />Incentive <br />If Basic Skills Deficient, improve at least One Level <br />$50 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />in Math and/or Reading by exit <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Retain or enroll in post -secondary education after <br />$50 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />exit and by the end of the 15t quarter after exit. <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Retain or enter unsubsidized employment after exit <br />$50 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />and by the end of the lst quarter after exit. <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) $50 Bonus Gift Card <br />will be provided if the job is identified as <br />Green -Collar, High-Demand/High- <br />Growth, and/or STEM <br />Complete a diploma or certificate after enrollment <br />$100 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />and by the end of the 3rd quarter after exit. <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Stay connected with Case Manager throughout the <br />$100 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />program year with at least monthly contact and <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />complete exit interview. <br />Complete at least 2 action plan goals by program <br />$100 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />exit. <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Volunteer at community service event/project by <br />$50 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />program exit or during follow up year <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Obtain a Driver's License by program exit or during <br />$100 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />follow up year <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Obtain a Driver's Permit by program exit or during <br />$50 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />follow up year <br />i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Submit a job application by program exit or during <br />$25 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />follow up year <br />(i.e., 'Ross or Target) <br />Complete a portfolio/resume by program exit or <br />$25 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />during follow up year <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Attend a job fair by program exit or during follow up <br />$25 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />year <br />(i.e., Ross or Target <br />Attend a college campus tour by program exit or <br />$25 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />during follow up year <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Attend a special education workshop, approved by <br />$25 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />Case Manager by program exit or during follow up <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />year <br />Complete Let's Go Learn online curriculum by <br />$25 Gift Card for work-related expenses <br />program exit <br />(i.e., Ross or Target) <br />Upon successful completion of the above objectives, participants will be given a gift card valued <br />at their listed amounts above.
