Please be concise in your response. Potential clients can wait at designated bus stops to be picked up and taken to the Armory
sites. All potential clients will be screened at intake. They are provided a snack after intake, dinner at night, a
mattress with blankets to sleep on, access to shower facilities, and breakfast in the morning. By providing
security guards and nightly property checks, Mercy House provides a safe refuge for those on the streets of
Orange County. The Armory also serves as an access point to connect clients with additional supportive
services to help address their immediate needs. Some examples of service linkages include food stamps, Medi-
Cal, Children and Family Services, and housing resources. With the agency's connections to local volunteer and
service groups, additional resources can be provided to the clients. The purpose of the Armory Emergency
Shelter is to meet the basic need for shelter, food and hygiene, and to provide an access point for the homeless
to access services to help end their homelessness.
Funds awarded from Santa Ana ESG will be budgeted toward Armory staff salaries who both manage the
shelter sites and provide direct client services; facilities expenses including rent, and laudry and sercurity
provided at the Armory Shelter sites.
Schedule of Performance
Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 -month
contract period per quarter.
