CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES - DISTRICTS 1, 4 AND 5 <br />The City of Santa Ana is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for landscape maintenance <br />services in Districts 1, 4 and 5, and is interested in receiving proposals from contractors for <br />providing landscape services at the _ parks and other properties listed in Exhibit C. The detailed <br />specification included as Exhibit A describes the quality of work that Is expected from the <br />contractor. <br />II. PERIOD OF CONTRACT <br />Unless earlier terminated as allowed for in the agreement, contract term shall be for a period of 12 <br />months with four one -year options. The contract term is anticipated to commence after City <br />Council award of this contract and upon receipt and approval of all required bonds and insurance <br />documents. The projected contract award date is January 6, 2015 and may be adjusted as <br />necessary. The projected contract start date is February 1, 2015. <br />III. OPTION OF RENEWAL <br />The term of this agreement may include a provision for renewals as set forth in the Scope of <br />Services, attached as Exhibit A. <br />IV. FISCAL NONFUNDING CLAUSE <br />In the event sufficient budgeted funds are not available for a new fiscal period, the City shall retain <br />the right to notify the provider of such occurrence in writing at least thirty (30) days before the end of <br />the current fiscal period and terminate the contract on the last day of the current fiscal period <br />without penalty or expense to the City, <br />V. PROPOSAL DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT BOND <br />A proposal deposit in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the total proposed annual contract <br />amount set forth in Exhibit C shall accompany each proposal. The proposal deposit must be in <br />the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, certified check, bank draft, letter of credit, trust company <br />treasurer's check, or money order. Checks shall be payable to the City of Santa Ana. NO <br />PERSONAL OR COMPANY CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Proposal deposit of the <br />unsuccessful proposers shall be returned upon award of contract by the City. <br />The successful proposer shall supply a payment bond in the amount of fifty percent (50 %) of the <br />successfully awarded total annual contract amount of the proposal prior to execution of the <br />contract. Upon receipt of the payment bond, the proposal deposit will be returned. The proposal <br />deposit is subject to be forfeited if the successful proposer fails to execute the written contract and <br />Districts 1, 4 and 5 Park Landscape RFP <br />1 9E 1 <br />
