ROH - 09/16/14 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -XXX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA FOR PROPOSITION 84 STORM WATER <br />GRANT PROGRAM (SWGP) FUNDING <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. The State Public Resources Code requires that the Proposition 84 Storm <br />Water Grant Program (SWGP) funds be used to provide matching grants <br />to local public agencies for the reduction and prevention of storm water <br />contamination of rivers, lakes, and streams. <br />B. The Public Works Agency applied for funding under the State of California <br />Proposition 84 Storm Water Grant Program for the Morrison Park "Low <br />Impact Development" (LID) Improvements project. On May 21, 2014, <br />notification was received from the State Water Resources Control Board <br />that $288,898 had been awarded, with a required City match of $72,225. <br />C. The Morrison Park LID Improvements project will provide for <br />reconstruction of the existing parking lot with new porous asphalt <br />pavement, and incorporation of an adjacent bio- retention system with <br />drought tolerant landscaping. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorizes and <br />directs the City Manager or his designee(s) to enter into an agreement with the State of <br />California for Proposition 84 Storm Water Grant Program (SWGP) Funding in the <br />amount of $288,898, in addition to the City match of $72,225, and any amendments <br />thereto, subject to approval by the City Attorney's Office. <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br />55E -3 Resolution No. <br />1 oft <br />
