Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non -Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded program, named above, during the 12 -month contract period. <br />90 Persons <br />II. Number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents expected to be served by the funded program during the 12 -month <br />contract period. <br />32 Persons <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />The Steps to Independence program provides shelter, clothing, food and supportive services for homeless <br />women who are single or living alone and do not have children or do not have custody of their children. We <br />have 2 major objectives for the year 1.) To assist each resident with finding a job within the first 30 days of <br />their program stay. This will be accomplished with the following actions a.) Provide job development assistance <br />in a group and individual format to all unemployed and under - employed residents. b.) Provide resume writing <br />instruction and teach interview techniques as well as provide instruction on how to present a professional <br />image. c.) Maintain a job data bank, cultivate relationships with potential employers, and make available <br />computers, printers, fax machines and answering machines to facilitate communication with potential <br />employers. Objective 2. Provide safe, affordable housing for up to 30 women per day. this will be accomplised <br />by a.) Maintain the Hotel for Women as a safe, affordable housing program for homeless women. b.) Provide <br />24 -hour desk service with an overnight security guard every day of the week, 365 days per year. <br />We anticipate that 100% of the residents who stay in our program for six months will obtain or maintain a full - <br />time job with benefits, or some other secure income stream. We anticipate that 73% of those residents will <br />have safe, affordable housing to go to when they leave this program <br />Schedule of Performance <br />Estimate the number of unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 -month <br />contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
