<br />AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA BARRICADE RENTALS, INC.
<br />FOR PROVISION, INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC
<br />BARRICADES FOR FIESTAS PATRIAS EVENT AND OTHER CITY EVENTS
<br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 3rd day of September, 2014 by and between
<br />California Barricade Rentals, Inc. ( hereinafter "Contractor "), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and
<br />municipal corporation (hereinafter "City ").
<br />RECITALS
<br />A. The City desires to retain a contractor having special skill and knowledge in the field of
<br />providing, installing, maintaining, and removing traffic barricade equipment for special events such
<br />as the Fiestas Patrias event that the City is hosting ( "Event "),
<br />B. Contractor represents that Contractor is able and willing to provide such services to the City.
<br />C. In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Contractor represents that it is knowledgeable
<br />in this field and that any services performed by Contractor under this Agreement will be performed
<br />in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be expected from a professional consulting
<br />firm in the field.
<br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the
<br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows:
<br />L SCOPE OF SERVICES
<br />Contractor shall provide, install, set -up, maintain and remove rented traffic barricade equipment
<br />at 4 "' Street and 5 °i Street and Broadway Avenue for the Event, as set forth in Exhibit A to this
<br />Agreement (the "Equipment"), Contractor shall deliver the Equipment on Friday, September 12, 2014,
<br />and start setting up immediately after the closure of the streets at 7:00 PM, Contractor will clean up and
<br />remove the Equipment on Sunday evening and have it completely removed and cleaned up by 6:00 AM,
<br />Monday, September 15, 2014, with the exception of the carnival area which will be cleared by 5:00 PM
<br />on Monday, September 15, 2014.
<br />Contractor shall provide, install, set -up, maintain and remove rented traffic barricade equipment
<br />for the Plaza Wellness 5K, Basketball Game and Health Fair beginning at 4:00am on September 6, 2014,
<br />Contractor will clean up and remove the Equipment by 2:30pm on September 6, 2014.
<br />Contractor also agrees to providc sinular services for other events that the City may sponsor
<br />through the term of the agreement. Payment to made upon approval of scope of services and fees for the
<br />various City events.
<br />2. COMPENSATION
<br />a, City agrees to pay, and Contractor agrees to accept as total payment for its services for Parade
<br />Route Traffic Control, Multiple Street Closures, and the 5K Wellness event, the rates and charges
<br />identified in Exhibit A. Other charges for the other events will be approved and processed by staff, The
<br />contract award for such services pursuant to this agreement shall not exceed Seventy -Five Thousand
<br />Dollars ($75,000.00),
