Adopt a resolution certifying Final Environmental Impact Report No. 2014 -01, to approve the <br />mitigation monitoring program, findings of fact, and statement of overriding considerations for the <br />Harbor Mixed Use Transit Corridor Specific Plan. <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving General Plan Amendment No. 2014 -02. <br />3. Adopt an ordinance approving Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2014 -01. <br />4. Adopt an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2014 -01. <br />CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />On September 16, 2014, the City Council held a public hearing on the proposed Harbor Corridor <br />Mixed Use Specific Plan. At the conclusion of the hearing the Council continued the item and <br />directed staff to revise the plan to reflect policy decisions: <br />• Ensure that more intense development occurred within the Transit Node districts, <br />particularly the Transit Node near the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Westminster <br />Avenue. <br />• Ensure that the preponderance of development in the Transit Node districts was not <br />primarily residential, but that the plan reflect an emphasis on commercial, entertainment <br />and hotel uses. <br />Address the design of the street sections to provide options that include adequate <br />pedestrian sidewalks, buffered bike lanes and on- street parking. <br />75A -1 <br />
