Sexltnger Farmhouse and Orchard <br />Residential Development Project CEQA Findings <br />relatively small size and scope of the project (22 new single family residences and one preserved in place <br />residence) further support the conclusion that cumulative air quality impacts are less than significant. <br />(EIR, p. 5 -12.) <br />C. CUMULATIVE BIOLOGICAL IMPACTS <br />The City of Santa Ana is built -up, developed, and urban and therefore cumulative development in the <br />vicinity of the project, like the project, has little potential to result in significant biological impacts. In <br />addition, planned projects in the vicinity are mitigated on a project -by- project basis and in accordance <br />with applicable local, state, and federal regulations relating to sensitive species and wildlife. Therefore, <br />cumulative biological impacts are less than significant. (EIR, p. 5 -19.) <br />D. CUMULATIVE CULTURAL IMPACTS <br />The project as now proposed retains the historic structures located on the project site, as well as a number <br />of existing orange grove trees. As a result, the property would retain many of its major cultural and <br />historic elements. (January 2014 EIR Attachment, pp. 4 -7.) Impacts to archeological and paleontological <br />resources would be minimized due to each projects' requirement to meet local, state, and federal <br />regulations concerning preservation, salvage, and handling of resources. (EIR, p. 5 -41.) As a result, <br />cumulative impacts to cultural resources are less than significant. (EIR, p. 5 -41.) <br />E. CUMULATIVE GEOLOGY AND SOILS IMPACTS <br />The project will meet all building code requirements, as will other cumulative projects in the area. This <br />will reduce the potential for cumulative impacts due to seismic events. Therefore, cumulative impacts <br />related to geology and soils are less than significant. (EIR, p. 5 -45.) <br />F. CUMULATIVE GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS IMPACTS <br />Greenhouse gas impacts and their attendant climate change effects are inherently cumulative in nature. <br />Greenhouse gas emissions of the proposed project are below SCAQMD's threshold, even when the lost <br />carbon sequestration of the existing orange trees is taken into account. (January 2014 E1R Attachment, <br />pp. 9 -10, Table 1.) <br />G. CUMULATIVE HAZARDS AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IMPACTS <br />The project will meet all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the transport, use, storage, and <br />disposal of hazardous materials, as will all cumulative projects in the vicinity. No cumulative impacts are <br />anticipated to occur regarding hazards and hazardous materials. (EIR, p. 5 -52.) <br />H. CUMULATIVE HYDROLOGY AND WATER QUALITY IMPACTS <br />No long -term operational hydrology and water quality impacts are anticipated as part of this project. No <br />cumulative impacts are anticipated to occur as well, Therefore, cumulative impacts are considered less <br />than significant, (EIR, p. 54.) <br />I.
